Set of eight collector’s plates made by Knowles to commemorate the movie The Wizard of Oz. This series is painted by James Auckland and is the official Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer “Wizard of Oz” collection. The first seven plates measure 8 ½ inches in diameter, and the grand finale 8th plate measures inches 10 inches. This set is the only official collector plate series commemorating the M.G.M. film, "The Wizard of Oz."
All 8 plates are in pristine condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.
The back of each is marked “Copyright 1979 MGM” and is numbered for its limited edition number.
The "Over the Rainbow" (Dorothy) plate is a First Edition.The series consists of:
