This is a 1946 John Deere Model G (M) Two Cylinder Tractor. I purchased this tractor about 4 years ago in original condition. I've made numerous mechanical restorations, and a basic paint job. The tractor has had a few conversions over the years: propane fuel system, wide front end, 12v electrical, and power steering. Here's a list of mechanical improvements:
Rebuilt power steering pump and motor
New propane components and carbuerator rebuild
Completely rebuilt clutch assembly with new components
New exhaust/intake
New wiring
Power Lift converted to Powrtrol
New rear gaskets on rocker shaft assembly and leather cup
Three point with remotes
Rear tires - very good, Front tires - fair
The transmission is the six speed with High\Low 1-2-3 and Reverse. I removed the small rear wheel weights to move the wheels in, but can replace is so desired.
The tractor runs very good, other than when I replaced/rebuilt the propane system, it needs the load needle adjusted correctly. The replaced Powrtrol needs to have the drop adjustments fine tuned. I've simply used it as is. The 84" rear blade is included in the sale. I've mostly used this tractor to rebuild a driveway and drag the shoulders on the road around our house.
Local pickup only. I purchased the tractor for $2,250, and have put at least twice that much into it. This is a great basic tractor that could be used for many different purposes.
