Listed is a very nice, rare, vintage Coolerator Ice Cube Cutter. The top reads "Coolerator, The Air Conditioned Refrigerated Ice Cube Cutter, Manufactured by the Coolerator Corp., Duluth, Minn., Pat. No. 2030735. This piece was manufactured in 1938. $50.00
The objective of the tool was to fill the top of the container with hot water, then lay the "cutter" side down on a block of ice so it would melt down into the ice and form cubes. This was before refrigerators and ice makers.
This piece is copper plated with a brass cap. It measures 12" long x 3" wide x 2 1/2" tall. The dark spots you see in the pictures are from lighting and angle of camera. Very clean and polished finish. Does show some slight dents from usage.
Nice antique collectible to set on your shelf. Great conversation piece.
