The knife is a Case 1880's Style XX Boot Hunter Knife & Sheath & Garter Belt Mint In Vintage Box. The Case Pattern number is P62-4 1/2 SS. It is a genuine Boot Hunter Fixed Blade Dagger Hunting Knife with a Genuine Leather Sheath and colorful Garter Belt all packaged in the colorful factory Case Vintage Box with papers. The knife is 8 1/2" long. The 4 5/8" long dagger blade. The blade is satin finished Stainless  Steel. It has a Nickel Silver Finger Guard and Butt. The Handle is genuine hardwood held in place with two brass rivets. The knife is mint and comes with a genuine leather sheath in the Case box. This is the a real beauty and very rare.

 

It is one of the most elegant Case factory production knives ever made. A real eye-catcher 1880's style.  The Boot Knife by Case XX. Tang Mark: CASE . XX,  STAINLESS, USA on three lines. Length overall: 8 1/2" Blade length: 4 5/8".  Sheath is beautiful basket weave imprinted type, fold over the top. Plus the gorgeous factory garter belt. 

 Overall the box is in excellent condition and is gorgeous as it has a picture of the knife on the front. There are a few places that have been skinned on the edge. Inside the box is a black flocked inserts for the knife and sheath to rest in on display or storage. Case does not make boxes like this anymore as it is a beauty.
