Description
1979 John Deere 4240 Powershift, 148 John Deere Loader. Tractor has 3 remotes, 3 point with 540/1000 pto. It has 10,790 hours on it but always starts easy and doesn't smoke, very reliable. I went through this tractor and replaced anything that was questionable! I have receipts to show. Everything works... lights, gauges, wipers, domelight, etc. Every filter and fluid was changed including: engine, transmission, air, fuel, in cab air filter, was all purchased directly from Carrico. The AC system is converted to 134A, has ice cold AC and heat. The loader bucket is a quick attach for possible bale spears. Cab top, hood, and wheels were sanded and air gun painted with factory JD paint from Carrico. Radiator and heater core was backflushed, installed new thermostats, brass ball valve and confirmed that block heater worked, then filled with new Prestone anti-freeze. While the top of the cab was off, I made sure the air conditioner evaporator was clean. Every zerk takes grease. Rear tires are 20.8 /34 and in good shape, with 3 wheel weights per side. Here is a list of the Brand New parts:
2- 12V Everstart batteries
Both steer tires 10.00/16 and 4 rib- 10 ply tires with new valve stems
Full cab kit including base, headliner and post. new cup holder
All window and door seals

FM Radio/Receiver (with remote) USB or SD card and 400W Pioneer speakers
2 hoses under dash that were worn due to adjustable steering wheel

Overall the tractor is in great shape, come take a look and drive it. I have more pictures and videos if you would like. I have a remote controlled Golight that I will send with. Also if transporting it is an issue I may be able to help! Thanks
