Selling my beloved green stripe Gleaner L3 combine and headers. This is a one of a kind combine and no doubt in my mind that there is no L3 out there in its immaculate condition. I bought it from a Canadian farmer in 2011 with the plan to use it as a backup combine. I have always had an affection for the conventional Gleaner combines and owned about every model. At the time the combine needed some of the wear items replaced so I decided to do a complete restoration on it. I pretty much took it down to the frame and redone it completely A to Z including repainting most of it. Redone it from feeder beater all the way back and added a hydraulic chaff spreader also. Replacement parts were mostly Agco and some were bought from Abilene Machine, Shoup, and A&I. I spent over $15000 on just parts and I have every receipt to prove it. Every bearing, bushing, sprocket, chain, belt, seal, auger, etc was put in new. Cylinder bars are the specialty bars for Soybeans and they with the concave were hardened at a specialty shop in Kansas. Hydro and transmission were in real good condition and I did not do much there other than service them. Engine was in good condition but I sent the injection pump to Diesel Control Technicians in Hutchinson Kansas to have it recalibrated and I had them turn it up about 10%. I put slightly bigger injectors in the engine and replaced the head gasket. Engine is at 164hp and runs excellent. I can go on and on about all I’ve done to it and the headers but will discuss with interested buyers. Headers are LM22 rigid and LM320 flex. Both were redone also A to Z. The LM320 has the SCH cutting system. The reason for selling is lack of use and need of shed space! I mainly use the combine to cut my smaller fields and at most cut 50 acres with it a year. I put less than 300 hours on it since the restoration. So it is pretty much in like new condition. I acquired two dozers and a track loader recently and plan on restoring them so I need the shed space. Included with the package are many pallets of new and used parts for combine and headers, a spare AC 670T engine, and spare new unloading auger, and all the parts, operators, and service manuals.
