I am selling my 1950, 5 window Chevy pickup. This has been a project that is about 90% complete. Clear Kansas title. Asking price is $8,500.00.
What has been done;
The cab corners have been replaced and patches welded in the cab floor where needed. The cab is sitting on a 1985 Chevy S-10 frame with a kit purchased to retro fit the body to the frame. The frame was painted prior to placing the cab on it.
New wheel bearings, the brakes have all been gone through, new pads, rotors turned. The master cylinder is from the S-10. Fuel cell and fuel pump is from the S-10. Front disk brakes and the rear are drums. New shocks all the way around. Tires have about 80% to 90% wear left on them, Mickey Thompsons with aluminum wheels. New front end bushings and tie rod ends, new headers and exhaust. The rear end is from a 4x4 S-10 (beefier rear end to handle the V-8 and wider than a 2 wheel drive to fill up the fender wells). Truck has been aligned by a local shop.
The windshield is new and new rubber on all the windows. The steering column is from a 1967 Camaro. Power electric bucket seats are from a Chevy Silverado, The speedometer gauge is new. Windshield wiper motor is a new 12 volt motor. New door handles on the inside and new window cranks.
The engine is a 305 Chevy with a 700R4 automatic transmission. The top of the engine was gone through, new timing chain, plugs, Edelbrock manifold, head gaskets and Mickey Thompson valve covers with a 4 barrel carburetor. New aluminum radiator and electric fan (manually operated). Roll pan added on the back. All lights and turn signals function properly. The truck was painted a year ago with single stage polyurethane and clear coated.
What needs to be done;
Door and hood gaps needs adjusted. Need the gauge cluster (currently using an after-market gauge set), there is no fuel gauge. The windshield wiper motor needs wired up. The door seals need re-glued on the passenger side and a small part on the driver’s side. Seats need wired in(if you want to use the electric function but they are set ok now). I have the new chrome front bumper that needs installed. Currently the bed is stained pressure treated plywood. The truck was painted but never color sanded or buffed out. I have the old headliner, not installed. The fuel filler neck leaks when filling the tank (does not leak when finished fueling, might have this fixed by the time you look at it) I have a few extra parts to go along.
