Selling my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is a 4x4 with a 4.0 inline 6. Has the NV242 Selec-Trac transfer case. Meaning it isn't the pesky full time 4x4 that comes in most of them. Has power windows and locks, power seat, and a power sunroof. My wife bought it about 6 years ago from Route 36 Auto Sales in Marysville Ks. It had about 125,000 on it then. Has 182,xxx on it now, has been mostly highway miles its whole life. If you know Jeeps you know these motors will run 300,000 with basic maintence, they're legendary for reliability. It's in very good condition, needs nothing. I'm very particular about my vehicles, it's been well maintained. I'd drive it anywhere in the country today if I needed to. Would make a great vehicle for any purpose.
NADA books it at $5,425 stock. Only getting rid of it because I needed a truck with more power to pull a car trailer, and just bought a Chevy Avalanche. Otherwise I'd drive this for years to come. Gets around fantastic in snowy weather. Has clean and clear title. Please message me on Nextech for any questions. I am a school teacher and I coach football. Time is very limited now that the season has started. Message me and I'll write you back as soon as possible.
Here's everything I've replaced or added over the 5-6 years We've owned it:
Transmission was replaced by Oliver Transmission in Home City, Ks at 150,000. Have reciept on it.
Radiator, thermostat, and fan was replaced at Engels at around 170,000.
Rear main seal was replaced at Engels just a few months ago
I just put the valve cover gasket in just now. Have a picture of the valvetrain, it's clean as a whistle, no sludge or gunk in this motor.
Front and Rear brakes about 15,000 miles ago
New Exide battery in January
All 6 spark plugs are new NGK's
New coil rail
New throttle position sensor
All radiator and heater hoses have been replaced
New serpentine belt
New gas cap
New hatch and rear glass lift struts
New exhaust setup from the catalytic converter back
I changed the Differential fluid front and rear, and changed the transfer case oil
2" Fat Bob's suspension lift, which had new springs and shocks at all 4 corners. Rides pretty nice for a lifted straight axle vehicle.
New MOOG steering stabilizer
17" Pro Comp wheels on 275/60r17 Nexen ATII tires, 65-70% tread left on them. Spare is a BRAND NEW Michelin 275/60r17 on a factory JK wheel, and has only been on the ground once.
LED driving lights and roof rack mounts on the roof. Great for dark nights
Rage Powersport roof basket setup with spare mount.
Brand new Pioneer bluetooth cd/mp3 player with handsfree phone setup
Speakers are all new
Wired for a small subwoofer setup
It never had a hitch, so I put a Reese hitch on it
